The brief was to create an outdoor space that was beautiful, inspiring and complemented our client’s lifestyle. The new space takes its inspiration from Fallingwater house in Pennsylvania, with layers of interconnected, multi-level decks that adds character to the space creating a dramatic garden with a stage-like, amphitheatre feeling.
The garden breaks into three separate zones for individual purposes, a large welcoming deck that serves as an extension of the house to entice guests to explore the various levels. They are met by low-level planters, a floating wood bench and a large bladed waterfall that sits against a natural stone backdrop which creates an instant sense of calmness to the area.
The next step serves as the ultimate dining and entertainment space with a motorized pergola to shade while dining and an outdoor TV embedded into a stone column, all wrapped by expensive greenery.
The final level serves two purposes. It transforms from an elevated sun deck to take advantage of the summer weather while at the same time a set of removable panels reveal a hidden state of the art hot tub for the ultimate relaxation. The use of composite decking and raised rendered flower bed creates a beautiful garden with minimum upkeep. Perfect for our client’s fast-paced lifestyle.
